Nisa started as a parent in the Parent-Child Connections program with The Family Center in 2002 when her oldest daughter was 2 years old. She began working as a teacher in the children's program in early 2006. Nisa was a speech-language pathologist before choosing to devote her time to her young family. In her spare time she enjoys reading, making things, helping out in her daughters' schools, and having a good time. She even takes Zumba classes! She loves working in the children's program because, as she says, it is so exciting to see the the children grow, make new discoveries, find friends, and explore the world around them.
