Donna has been working as Employment Specialist for the past year, assisting people with writing and developing resumes and cover letters, interviewing skills, job search, training programs, and more. Previously she worked for the Under One Roof Project at The River Center as a Recreation Bridge Builder, helping individuals who experience a developmental disability increase participation in recreational and social activities. Donna has over five years of professional experience working directly with students in various school settings throughout the Monadnock Region. She is lead facilitator for the People First of NH Self-Advocacy group for young adults at The River Center, which she launched in early 2007. She and her husband live in Antrim, and have 4 grown sons, all of whom currently live, work, and attend college in NH. |

Bonnie has been a parent educator for almost 25 years. She founded The Parent Guidance in Peterborough in 1990. The PGC merged with Families and Communities Together to form The Family Center, which has now morphed again into The River Center after 7 physical moves and 2 name changes. Bonnie is the author of When Your Kids Push Your Buttons (2003) and Confident Parents Remarkable Kids: 8 Principles for Raising Kids You'll Love to Live With (2008). She is also the director of Connective Parenting, where she works as an international speaker, trainer and parenting educator and coach. She continues to teach parenting groups at The River Center—always her home-base and emotional center. She writes a column for The Monadnock Ledger-Transcript and can be followed on Facebook and twitter. Bonnie lives in Peterborough with her husband and dog and has 2 grown children (a teacher and a composer) who both live in NYC.

Wendy has an extensive background in working with families and children of all ages as an educator and consultant. She runs several family programs and is the clinical supervisor for the home visiting program, offering peer supervision and support. Additionally, she developed the first guidance counseling program at the Peterborough Elementary School from 1990-1996. She currently has a private practice and works at the High Mowing School. Karen has worked for many Peterborough businesses during her last 40 years of living in the Monadnock Region, including two consulting firms, a law firm and, most recently, Peggy Cappy Enterprises. She began working for The River Center in December of 2009, and the newly merged entity as of March 1, 2010. During this time, she has also volunteered in many capacities including being the Treasurer of the Monadnock Area Transitional Shelter for six years, and a certified tax preparer for the Money Matters Income Tax Assistance program for the last two years. She has 3 grown sons and 5 grandchildren, one of whom is currently living with her and is a junior at ConVal High School. |

Over the years Carol has worked in a variety of roles and settings including: special education, preschool/ kindergarten teacher, workshop facilitator and camp staff/director. Her current roles continue to offer challenge, variety, fun, and the opportunity to be with parents and young children in a caring, supportive community. Her children, ages 28 and 30, have grown up and moved out into the world to create their own communities.

Amy started with the Under One Roof Project and The River Center as a Project Assistant in February 2008. In January of 2009 she also started working with The Family Center. She is now the Administrative Manager of the merged organizations. Amy moved here from Kansas City and she now lives in Peterborough with her 10 year old son Ashton, a cat, and a very tiny dog Xena, who is almost always guarding The River Center. She takes several of the parenting classes offered here and they have made a significant difference in her and her son’s lives!

Margaret is the newest staff member at The River Center having started in March 2010. She has a background in human resources management, marketing, and as a teaching director. She has volunteered doing everything from Girl Scout leader to scooping ice cream to conducting leadership development workshops. She lives in Dublin with her husband, Dave, and Springer Spaniel, Marley. They have three daughters, one married and in graduate school in New York City and the other two are attending college in Seattle. |

Kim first started out as a volunteer in 2003 playing with the kids. She has been part of The Family Center staff since 2004. She feels that coming to work each day is not really work at all-it’s fun and you never have the same experiences. Kim has four children of her own and one stepson. |

Nisa started as a parent in the Parent-Child Connections program with The Family Center in 2002 when her oldest daughter was 2 years old. She began working as a teacher in the children's program in early 2006. Nisa was a speech-language pathologist before choosing to devote her time to her young family. In her spare time she enjoys reading, making things, helping out in her daughters' schools, and having a good time. She even takes Zumba classes! She loves working in the children's program because, as she says, it is so exciting to see the the children grow, make new discoveries, find friends, and explore the world around them. |

Kelli began working with FACT in 1998, and The Family Center and has extensive experience working with children and families. She is continuing with her Home visiting work and Parent Education with The River Center. “I have the privilege to support young women during their pregnancy and relive the magic of their child’s first year of life. I have met so many people in our community and learned much from them. We all have so much to offer each other.”
