The River Center's New Roof!! Donated by: Academy Roofing Corporation

 

When The River Center Executive Director Margaret Nelson told members of Hope Fellowship in New Ipswich about her building’s need for a roof repair, she hoped she might get some help to patch the holes. One member asked what she needed and another started looking for help. Fran Gibson, owner of Academy Roofing Corporation of Rindge, heard about the need and offered his company’s help. On Saturday, July 23, Fran showed up at The River Center with a 13-man crew and before the end of the day had replaced the entire roof of the main building.

 

“We’ve been in business for 11 years and God has blessed us. I want the praise to go to God,” Mr. Gibson said.  

 

Although Margaret Nelson knew the Academy Roofing intended to fix the hole in the roof, she never imagined The River Center would get a brand-new roof for the entire building. “We did not have the funds in our budget to do this, and we are very thankful for this generous act of kindness.”
